ADI Check Test and BSM Fiat 500

One of the requirements of remaining an approved driving instructor is that the DSA have to conduct an ADI check test every couple of years to onfirm the instructors ability to teach learner drivers.

DSA examiners have been compalining about the lack of space in the BSM fiat 500 bubble car. An for his reason BSM will be going back to using Vauxhall Corsas as its driving school car.

The ADI check test which normal lasts about an hour involves the DSA SE-ADI observing a driving lesson being carried out, and a grade then being issued to the instructor depending on how well they have performed. Anything between 4-6 allows them to remain on the DTI ADI register, anything lower, and another check test will be required, and failing to improve could result in removal.

Many BSM driving instructors will be delighted with the news, as the Fiat 500 was never popular with them, even though it was a hit with many customer learner drivers.
